ONS consultation: Data on zero-hours contracts
Article dated: 28 October 2013
The Office for National Statistics (ONS) is working towards a pilot survey to collect information on zero-hours contracts as part of the Monthly Wages and Salaries Survey.
This dataset is available via the UK Data Service to users qualified for Secure Access.
Before the pilot survey can commence, the ONS is inviting input from researchers familiar with such data. The consultation document at the link below contains a brief background of the issue, along with detailed proposals around the production of data from business surveys of the number of employees on zero-hours contracts and dissemination of the results.
Annex B of the document contains three specific questions and an additional one for more general comments.
The deadline for comment is Tuesday 12 November 2013.
All replies should be sent directly to Ian Richardson.
