The UK Data Archive is seeking to appoint an IT Systems Officer to join our Technical Services directorate. The section provides support for the critical needs of the other divisions in the UK Data Archive by installing, commissioning, configuring, developing, maintaining and updating internal and external systems which are in everyday use.
Applicants should have a proven track record of general IT support in a MS Windows/Office environment, knowledge of MS Windows file systems and security as well as prior experience in a helpdesk or customer service environment. Analysis, problem solving and prioritisation skills, excellent attention to detail, a structured and methodical approach to work, an ability to work independently and direct own work, good written and verbal communication skills in English and an ability to work as part of a team are required skills and abilities.
