Vacancy: Data Engineer

University of Essex, UK Data Archive, Faculty of Social Sciences

The UK Data Archive is seeking to appoint a Data Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for expanding and optimising our data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimising data flow and collection.

Applicants should have experience of using major statistical, spreadsheet and database packages to clean, refactor and produce high quality data, and should ideally have some programming experience. Most importantly, applicants must be able to think about and analyse data in a structured and logical way. Much of our data is sensitive so you will also need an appreciation of data security issues.
