Submissions are now open for the Labour Force and Annual Population Surveys User Conference 2018.
This annual conference, organised by the UK Data Service, will be held on Tuesday 4 December. The event is free to attend and will be held at the Office for National Statistics, 1 Drummond Gate, London.
The User Conference brings data producers and data users together to share updates on the development of the surveys and to showcase research that is being carried out using the data. The programme will contain a mixture of presentations from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) and researchers who use data from the Labour Force Survey (LFS) and Annual Population Survey (APS).
We would like to invite offers of presentations based on analysis of these two UK surveys.
This year we are also including a session specifically to give PhD students an opportunity to present their research using the LFS or APS. The PhD student can be at any stage of their study; the presentation does not necessarily have to include research results.
Please send offers of a paper, including a title and a 200-word abstract, to gillian.meadows@manchester.ac.uk by midnight on Sunday 30 September (extended from 23 September). Please specify whether your submission is for the PhD student session or not.
We will evaluate all abstracts and notify authors after the selection process. A detailed programme of presentations will be provided prior to the conference. Booking will open when the programme has been finalised.
