Vacancy: Professor of Information Studies

University of Essex, UK Data Archive, Faculty of Social Sciences

The UK Data Archive is seeking to appoint a Professor of Information Studies. This appointment aims to allow the UK Data Archive to create links with other departments and increase the university’s capacity in information related studies to fully exploit the rich resource that the UK Data Archive offers.

The successful applicant will be expected to draw on the digital data assets of the UK Data Archive to offer bespoke postgraduate modules and PhD supervision. It is anticipated the post holder will develop strong links with the Institute of Social and Economic Research (co-located in the same building), the Institute of Analytics and Data Science, and the Institute of Public Health and Well-being.
