In this issue of the UK Data Service newsletter, we are thrilled to announce we have secured £37.5 million of UKRI funding through the ESRC to fund our work until 2030. This new award will allow us to continue to provide critical research infrastructure for the social sciences.
We also highlight how we have recently engaged with depositors to help them more easily add data to the UK Data Service. Our teams have guided depositors on effective data management and data protection while also offering advice on key issues in data sharing such as consent, highly sensitive data and effective anonymisation. You can read more about this work by browsing our depositor case studies.
Since our last newsletter, several new datasets have been released, including data from the Evidence for Equality National Survey (EVENS) from the Centre on the Dynamics of Ethnicity (CoDE), data from the People and Nature Survey for England and a new release of National Referral Mechanism and Duty to Notify Statistics.
We also have news on how the UK Data Service helped support the Royal Statistical Society’s recent International Conference in Harrogate, plus details on the winners of our 2023 Dissertation Award and information on how you can submit an entry for next year’s award.
Our regular newsletter offers Service users a way to keep up with our latest events and training opportunities, see which datasets have been featured across the media and explore opportunities to promote your own research via a case study or blog post for our Data impact team.
