In this issue of the UK Data Service newsletter, we congratulate Professor Matthew Woollard, former Director of the UK Data Service and the UK Data Archive, who has been awarded an OBE for his service to data science and higher education. We also take a look back at our recent Poverty in Data impact event and have details on our new Data Skills Framework.
As we enter summer, we’re excited to be hosting two important user conferences: our annual Health Studies User Conference on 1 July in collaboration with UCL and the National Centre for Social Research, and our Family Finance Surveys User Conference on 10 July in collaboration with the Department for Work and Pensions and the Office for National Statistics. You can find out more about our summer events schedule at our training and events page.
Finally, we highlight our new “Cite the Data” campaign and our latest Annual Report for 2022-23, which details how we continue to lead and share best practice across the national and international research landscape.
Our regular newsletter offers Service users a way to keep up with our latest events and training opportunities, see which datasets have been featured across the media and explore opportunities to promote your own research via a case study or blog post for our Data impact team.
