Are you conducting research using the UK Data Service’s family finance surveys? We invite you to share your work at the Family Finance Surveys User Conference 2025.
Submissions are now open for the Family Finance Surveys User Conference 2025.
This free annual conference, organised by the UK Data Service in collaboration with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and the Office for National Statistics (ONS), provides a forum for researchers to present their work and engage with data producers and fellow researchers.
The 2025 conference will take place on Wednesday 9 July 2025 in person at Friends House in London – with an online option available for those who prefer to join remotely.
We are delighted to announce that this year’s keynote speaker is Dr Jonathan Cribb, Associate Director at the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS).
We welcome research presentations based on any of the UK Data Service’s family finance-related surveys, including:
- Family Resources Survey
- Living Costs and Food Survey
- Wealth and Assets Survey
- other surveys with family finance-related content.
We encourage submissions from researchers at all career stages, including PhD students.

To be considered, please complete our online submission form by midnight on Sunday 13 April 2025.
Submissions should include:
- an abstract of up to 300 words
- details of the data you used in the research
By submitting, you agree to share your information with our conference partners. All abstracts will be reviewed, and successful authors will be notified following the selection process.
Conference booking is open but the programme will not be available until after the call for papers deadline. A detailed programme of presentations will be provided prior to the conference.
