The Administrative Data Research Centre Wales (ADRC-W) has welcomed Lauren Burns to its team of researchers.
Based at ADRC-W’s headquarters, the Data Science Building in Swansea, Lauren will embark on a three year period of research funded by the ESRC Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP) Wales.
As a former Swansea University Psychology graduate with an MSc in Research Methods in Psychology, Lauren will now work alongside Dr Ana Da Silva and Professor Ann John to investigate the impact of non-clinical patient factors in mental health clinical decision-making.
Speaking on her appointment Lauren said: “I am delighted to have gained a place working alongside established researchers on such an engaging topic. Linked data provides a fantastic opportunity to understand a research question and I am looking forward to learning from the team while developing my skills in this emerging area.”
Lauren is the third member of the research team in Wales to have gained a place conducting research alongside ADRC-W as a result of funding calls.
