Summary

Not all SecureLab projects are eligible for homeworking

If a SecureLab project is eligible, each team member who would like to request accessing this specific SecureLab project from home, must complete and submit their own ‘Secure Access Homeworking Agreement’ form(s).

You will need to agree and demonstrate that you can meet all the additional safe conditions which mitigate against the additional risks posed by researchers working outside their institutional environment.

Access is still restricted to the UK – accessing SecureLab from outside of the UK is not permitted and will constitute a breach of the licence agreement.

You must always use a device owned and managed by your institution.

Accessing SecureLab from home without completing and submitting the required form(s) will amount to a breach of the licence agreement.

Your form(s) will be screened, and you will receive clear confirmation that you are now permitted to access this specific SecureLab project from home.

You will then be permitted to remotely access SecureLab via:

  1. your office computer located at my institution or organisation, which you will connect to via an organisationally/institutionally managed method (e.g. VPN), or
  2. your organisationally/institutionally managed remote working computer, with traffic to SecureLab routed via a VPN that connects to and is managed by your organisation or institution.
