This introductory webinar is intended for anyone who wants to learn about the international time series data available from the UK Data Service.

Your host Richard Wiseman will give an overview of the diverse topics that are contained within these datasets, which include the open data produced by the World Bank, International Monetary Fund and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development. As well as the data restricted to academia from the International Energy Agency and the UN.

Collectively these data cover all countries, some stretching as far back as 1948. Most of these data are annual data, but there are also some monthly and quarterly data. This valuable resource allows researchers to compare countries, or track a country's progress over time.

The webinar will provide:

  • an overview of the international data
  • key issues in using the data
  • a demo of our interface
  • the chance to ask questions

The session will consist of a 30 minute presentation followed by 20 minutes for questions.
