UK Data Service Dissertation Week

The UK Data Service Dissertation Week starts on 11 October. If you are a dissertation student, or supervisor, you can book your place now for our dedicated webinar, workshops and data drop-in sessions.

Designed for dissertation students and supervisors, the week will:

  • Highlight data available for dissertations.
  • Provide ideas for projects.
  • Share tips and tools for managing your data and work.
  • Launch the 2021-2022 UK Data Service Dissertation Award.

There will be an opening webinar, online workshops, and a data drop-in session, as well as links to resources and tools.

Join this online session to learn about data available for dissertations with case studies, tips and details of the UK Data Service Dissertation Award.

Tuesday

Online workshop: Dissertation projects: Introduction to secondary analysis for qualitative and quantitative data

Join this workshop for a practical run through of the research process of a secondary analysis project.

Wednesday

Online workshop: Why and how to document your steps?

This session will help you to learn how to record your data analysis to make it clear to you and others.

Thursday

Online workshop: Data in the spotlight: Large scale social surveys

This workshop is intended for anyone who wants to learn about survey data available from the UK Data Service.
