The UK Data Service Dissertation Award 2024-25

We’re pleased to announce the launch of the UK Data Service Dissertation Award for the 2024-25 academic year. The award recognises undergraduate social science dissertations that include excellent reuse of data.

Undergraduate students can access data from our catalogue once they have registered with their institutional login. The data available covers a wide variety of topics, such as the environment, poverty and living costs, crime, health, labour, opinions and attitudes, and much more. The student pages on our Learning Hub also provide guidance on finding, accessing, and using data in a dissertation or project.

There are three awards and each winning entry will receive a £300 voucher and be featured on our website. If you are a student or a supervisor, you can find full details on how to enter at our dissertation award page.

The deadline is Wednesday 18 June 2025. Follow #UKDSDissertations on X for the latest updates.
