Latest GP Patient Survey results for 2026 now available

The results of the latest GP Patient Survey are now available via the GP Patient Survey website.

The GP Patient Survey is a large-scale push-to-web survey run by Ipsos on behalf of NHS England. This year the survey received responses from approximately 654,000 adults in England. The latest data are from the 2026 publication. Fieldwork was conducted from 2 January to 13 April 2026.

The most recent reports and survey materials can be found on the GP Patient Survey website. Data is currently available nationally, at NHS regional level, Integrated Care System (ICS), Primary Care Network (PCN) and practice-level.

The publication of the 2026 survey is the third following the start of a new time series for the GP Patient Survey in 2024, due to changes to both the questionnaire and survey design. You can compare results from 2024 onwards across various outputs on the survey website. The GP Patient Survey website also has a detailed summary of changes for the 2026 survey.

The analysis tool enables users to look at the survey in more detail (at national, ICS, PCN and practice levels), including running bespoke crosstabulations and viewing comparisons between years from 2024 onwards.
