Are you doing or supervising a dissertation this year?
This free webinar will talk you through options for using secondary data available from the UK Data Service in undergraduate dissertations.
Through the UK Data Service, students can access the UK’s largest collection of social and economic data. For example, you can download data from large nationally representative social surveys on topical issues or data from the UK Census, international databanks and qualitative or mixed methods studies.
We also run a Dissertation Award to recognise outstanding use of secondary data in undergraduate dissertations.
The short session, will include:
  • an overview of the data available
  • answers to common questions about how to find and access data
  • case studies of undergraduate dissertations that have used data from the UK Data Service
  • resources available to help students find, access, and use data
  • details of our dissertation award
  • opportunities to ask questions
