Call for papers: Labour Force and Annual Population Surveys User Conference 2026

Do you use the UK Labour Force or Annual Population Surveys?

Submissions are now open for the twenty third Labour Force (LFS) and Annual Population Survey (APS) online User Conference 2026.

This free online conference, organised by the UK Data Service, will be held online on Thursday 3 December 2026. The programme will include a range of presentations by the LFS team at the Office for National Statistics and researchers or analysts who have used LFS or APS data.

We would like to invite offers of presentations based on analyses of either of these two surveys. All topics are welcome, whether substantive or methodological. We welcome submissions from researchers and analysts working in academia, government, the private sector, and the third sector.

See the 2024 and 2025 Labour Force and Annual Population Surveys User Conference programme for previous presentations.

Please send offers of a paper using the online submission form by midnight on Sunday 11 October 2026. By submitting your abstract you are agreeing to your information being shared with our conference partners.

We will evaluate all abstracts and notify authors after the selection process. A detailed programme of presentations will be provided prior to the conference.

Conference booking is open but the programme will not be available until after the call for papers deadline.
