What questions were asked on National identity?
The question on national identity was asked in all countries in the UK though the categories were in slightly different orders.
How do the questions transfer to variables and tables?
The write in answer will provide a detailed univariate table at different geographical scales depending on statistical disclosure control. There are three variables identifying national identity. The most detailed has 70 categories, the second 16 and the third 8.
How does it compare to previous censuses?
The results are comparable with the 2011 census. National identity using the third set of categories will be cross-tabulated with age, ethnic group and religion. In 2011 the data was also tabulated by country of birth.
What impact might the COVID pandemic have had on National identity?
