Call for papers: Family Finance Surveys User Conference 2026

Do you use UK Data Service surveys to research family finances? Submissions are now open for the Family Finance Surveys User Conference 2026.

This free annual conference is organised by the UK Data Service in collaboration with the Department for Work and Pensions and the Office for National Statistics.

The conference will be held in person at Friends House, London, on Thursday 9 July 2026, with an option to attend online.

We invite offers of research presentations based on surveys including the Family Resources Survey, Living Costs and Food Survey, Wealth and Assets Survey, and other surveys with family finance‑related content.

We welcome abstracts from all researchers, including PhD students at any stage of their research.

The 2026 programme is expected to include sessions on living costs, poverty, wealth, and the integration of administrative data to improve data quality, alongside a broad selection of research on family finances. You can view the 2025 programme for examples of the range of work presented.

Submission details

If you would like to present at this conference, please complete our online abstract submission form by midnight on Wednesday 11 March.

You will be asked to indicate the data used and to provide an abstract of up to 300 words. By submitting an abstract, you agree to your information being shared with our conference partners.

All abstracts will be reviewed, and authors will be notified following the selection process.
