In this issue of the UK Data Service newsletter, we preview our upcoming Perspectives on Engagement and Impact event in Manchester on 11 February. This unique event is designed to help researchers drive impact in society through their research findings.
It’s also that time of year again where we celebrate Love Data Week (9-13 February). This year’s events will be dedicated to the theme “Where’s the data?” and we’ll be providing several training sessions across the week to help people find useful data within our catalogue.
Looking ahead to spring, we’ll be holding our Crime Surveys User Conference 2026 in March, as well as a host of other training workshops and webinars. We’ve also launched our UK Data Service Dissertation Award 2025-26, which recognises undergraduate social science dissertations that include excellent reuse of data.
Finally, if you haven’t seen it yet, we recently published a new film about our key services at the UK Data Service and the value they provide to researchers around the world.
Our regular newsletter offers Service users a way to keep up with our latest events and training opportunities, see which datasets have been featured across the media and explore opportunities to promote your own research via a case study or blog post for our Data Impact team.
