This free event continues the series of UK Data Service webinars that explore data integration (also known as data linkage).

The webinar will provide:

  • A general overview of the UK Data Service and Financial Data Service and the kind of data they curate.
  • A detailed case study of data integration involving survey data as well as bank account data and energy-use.
  • An overview of how to access the survey data presented in the case study.
  • Opportunities to ask questions to presenters.

Presenters: 

  • Magdalena Getler, Smart Data Foundry. Magdalena is Head of Research Growth at SDF. She works closely with senior stakeholders across UK universities, government funding councils, data partners, and NGOs to transform how accredited researchers access private-sector financial data, driving evidence-based policymaking and decision-making.
  • Dr Peter Levell, Institute for Fiscal Studies. Peter is a Deputy Research Director at the IFS. He works on topics related to consumption and labour economics.
  • Dr Pierre Walthéry, UK Data Service. Pierre is a research associate at UKDS. He has published research about gender, flexible working and working time and currently leads on data linkage training at UKDS.
