Presenters:
Melissa Ogwayo, UK Data Service. Melissa is a User Support and Training Officer at the UK Data Service, based at the UK Data Archive at the University of Essex. She holds an MSc in Data Science and supports researchers using the UK Data Service SecureLab, with expertise in data and software import requests. Melissa enjoys delivering practical training that helps researchers navigate secure research environments and has a particular interest in synthetic data, statistical programming and responsible data access.
James Rayner, UK Data Service. James is as a Senior User Support and Training Officer at the UK Data Service, based at the UK Data Archive at the University of Essex. This role involves supporting researchers to access controlled data through the UK Data Service’s Trusted Research Environment, the SecureLab. In addition to this James works on the SOCRATES project, which investigates the utility and usability of semi-automated output checking tools to aid the statistical disclosure control of researcher outputs. Prior to joining the UK Data Service, James studied degrees in Psychology and Research Methods.
