Understanding Society Scientific Conference, 1-3 July, University of Essex
The Understanding Society Conference takes place every other year and is an opportunity for researchers from around the world to share the latest research on longitudinal household panel studies.
This year there are 25 sessions covering research on a wide range of topics, including health, education, families, inequality, fertility, politics, and ethnicity. There are also papers on survey methods and survey processes. Keynote speakers are Professor Anne McMunn, who will be speaking on studying care from a lifecourse perspective, Professor Tak Wing Chan, who will present on social diversity and community cohesion, and Professor Michaela Benzeval, who will explore families in Understanding Society.
The cost to attend is £180 for a three-day ticket, or £75 for a one-day ticket. For students, the cost is £120 for a three-day ticket, or £50 for a one-day ticket. Your ticket includes lunch and dinner, plus refreshments during the day.
