OSTrails
About the project
The UK Data Service is part of an EU-funded project that aims to improve the way we plan, track, and assess scientific knowledge. OSTrails wants to go beyond current methods, working with different countries and themes to make existing systems better and connect key parts for research and innovation (R&I). The goal is to create a practical, open, and FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable) system for European scientific research. OSTrails involves major players in Data Management Plans, FAIR Assessment Tools, and Scientific Knowledge Graphs to set standards and make data plans more efficient across Europe.
Partners
The consortium is made up of 38 partners, representing 22 Research Performing Organisations (RPOs) and the 5 Science Clusters.
Project duration
The project is due to run from February 2024 to January 2027.
UK Data Service contribution
The UK Data Service is involved in Plan-Track-Assess Alignment Implementation work package, which looks to realise the specifications of the Plan-Track-Assess Interoperability Framework & Architecture from WP1 into a federated ecosystem, transforming data models into software libraries and tools.
