The Institute for Social and Economic Research (ISER) is an ESRC funded leading centre for the production and analysis of longitudinal studies. Based at the University of Essex since 1989, it encompasses Understanding Society, the successor to the British Household Panel Survey; and the ESRC Research Centre on Micro-Social Change.
