Safeguarded Special Licence Working from Home FAQs and permitted data collections

Not all Safeguarded special licence data collections can be accessed from home. We have negotiated additional conditions of use that enable researchers to access Safeguarded Special Licence data from home. These measures mitigate against any additional risks posed by researchers working outside their institutional environment and provide assurance to data owners. This applies only to selected Safeguarded Special Licence data collections, following successful application.

Users must complete, sign, and return the appendix in the Special Licence User Agreement, where they will need to agree to and comply with additional conditions of use. Failure to comply with the conditions or accessing data from home without permission will be managed in accordance with the UK Data Service Licence Compliance Policy (PDF).

Data owners who have agreed to allow working from home for Safeguarded special licence data are listed below, along with their relevant data collections.

Use of data from home not listed below will constitute a breach of your user agreements. Users who breach their agreements will be managed in accordance with the UK Data Service Licence Compliance Policy (PDF) and will face a temporary suspension (minimum three months) from using any data provided by the UK Data Service.
