Are you interested in research on crime? Do you want to know the latest developments in crime data from UK social surveys?

The annual Crime Surveys User Conference, organised by the UK Data Service, will be held online and is free to attend.

The user conference brings data producers and data users together to share updates on the development of the surveys and to showcase research that is being carried out using the data. The programme will contain a mixture of presentations from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) and Scottish Government, and from researchers who have used data from the UK crime surveys.

There will not be a presentation on the Home Office’s Commercial Victimisation Survey (CVS) this year due to Covid-19 related delays with the survey. Fieldwork for the 2020/21 survey of the wholesale and retail sector has recently completed and findings are due to be published in March 2022. These will be presented by the Home Office at next year’s Crime Survey User Conference.
